2 tbsp soy sauce
1 garlic clove, mashed
2-3 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
3/4 lb thick cut salmon fillet or steak
Coarsely ground black pepper
Olive oil
In a sealable plastic bag, marinate salmon in refrigerator for 30 minutes with soy sauce (2 tbsp), garlic clove, fresh lemon juice (2-3 tsp), and sugar (1 tsp).
Remove salmon. Drain. Press in black pepper and drizzle lightly with olive oil.
Grill as desired or broil.
Quick and easy! Made with Paul in Lancaster. We got a 1.3 lb salmon to share. We cooked in oven at 400°. It took a long time -- about 30 minutes to bake. We added thyme on top in honor of moms recipe. Sometime in the future we will grill instead.
